CHOLARSHIP CONTESTPlease support the Purdue Club of Greater St. Louis Scholarship Contest by making a contribution to our local
scholarship fund. The new and returning students have the opportunity to win up to 3 scholarships worth $500 each. The recipients are chosen based on student essays judged by members of the alumni club. This year’s topic is "How has your acceptance into / experience at Purdue University affected you?" These scholarships are much appreciated by the students and their families as they prepare to finance their Purdue education as out-of-state students.S
PRING DINNER MEETINGThe Spring Dinner Meeting held in May at Patrick’s in Westport was a great evening! All who attended enjoyed
the informative program about Purdue Crew and club sports in general. We also had the opportunity to meet Todd Coleman, the new Executive Director of the Purdue Alumni Association. Another first for St. Louis – our club dinner was the first Purdue Club event Todd attended after the announcement of his appointment to the PAA Executive Director position! Remember that for the next Purdue trivia contest!H
APPY HOURS FOOTBALL & BASKETBALLIt was good to see all who attended the Happy Hours last fall and winter. We are looking forward to more great
football and basketball games in the next school year. W e will meet at Ozzie’s in Westport again for the game watches. Please watch your mail for Happy Hour information at the beginning of the football season. We need lots of participation to cheer the Boilermakers on to another bowl game! Basketball information will be sent out in December – let’s look for both the men and the women to make the Final Four in 2005!C
