The Annual Big-10 Luncheon was held at Michael's on the East on January 19, 2008. Our Club's representative to the Big 10 to prepare for this event was Marv Stucky - he did a great job! This was the largest ever Big-10 luncheon with 488 attendees! We had 24 attend from the Purdue Club of Sarasota, and our own VP, John Schmit, organized the singing of the 11 school fight songs. Mr. Robert Forman, former Executive Director for Michigan's Alumni Association for 28 years was the Masters of Ceremonies. The Keynote Speaker was Ohio State's 2-time Heisman Trophy winner, Archie Griffin. Mr. Griffin now serves as OSU's Alumni Association's President and CEO. It was a great event and well supported by the Purdue Club of Sarasota.
