Purdue University student vigil at Slayter Hill

"I am an American." That's the way most of us put it, just matter of factly. They are plain words, those four: you could write them on your thumbnail, or sweep them across this bright autumn sky. But remember too, that they are more than just words. They are a way of life. So whenever you speak them, speak them firmly, speak them proudly, speak them gratefully. "I am an American."

Welcome to the Web site of the Purdue Club of Portland. Our membership supports Purdue alums located in Oregon and SW Washington.

We have more than 50 active members, growing steadily.  We typically gather to cheer Purdue's athletic teams on to victory; our Events page will show you what's coming.

In 2000, we established a scholarship fund to help support an area undergraduate attend Purdue.  Details and application information are available on the scholarship page.

Communication with the club is done almost exclusively by email.  Annual membership dues are kept as low as possible and used to offset the costs of running the club.  All the information you need to keep in touch with Oregon-area alums is on our membership page.

Please feel free to call or write with any questions you may have. Hail Purdue!
