The Purdue Club of Houston is constantly raising and collecting money towards scholarships.  We have raffle drawings and 50/50 pots at every event as well as a small added fee on every event ticket sold.  This is a simple way to accumulate some money without a lot of pressure on our members who already give individually to support the University.  We appreciate your extra support and over the years we have now collected enough that an account can be established with Purdue specific for our donations.  Thanks again.

2007 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Purdue Alumni Club of Houston has set up a student Scholarship to a current Purdue Student from the Houston area. The Scholarship will be a one-time $1000.00 award (or $500.00 each semester) towards the student's' books/tuition. The student will be chosen based upon their academics, community service/extra-curricular activities, financial need, and several brief essay questions.

Applications can be mailed to the Purdue club of Houston at the address below. Applicants can request electronic applications by e-mailing the club at purduehouston@yahoo.com, or download the application from the club website (purduealum.org/Houston)

All applications must be received electronically, or by mail, prior to the September 7, 2007 deadline. Scholarship award winner will be announced by the Scholarship Committee late Sept, 2007.
