The Purdue Club of Cincinnati will again be awarding two $2,000 scholarships to two freshmen entering Purdue University in the 2008 Fall Semester.

To be eligible for the scholarship, current high school seniors must meet the following criteria:

• Candidates must reside in one of the following counties: Hamilton, Butler, Warren, or Clermont (Ohio); Kenton, Campbell, or Boone (Kentucky); Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, or Ripley (Indiana).

• Incoming freshman must have a combined SAT of at least 1100 or an equivalent ACT, and rank in the top 25 percent of their graduating class.

• Candidates must submit a Purdue Club of Cincinnati Scholarship application, which documents the student's scholastic, extracurricular, and/or volunteer activities and achievements, a recommendation letter, and a high school transcript.

• Financial need (as determined by federal and university guidelines) will be an additional factor, but not required; each applicant is encouraged to apply for financial assistance through the Purdue University Division of Financial Aid (765-494-5050).
